Sausage Strata Recipe

  Brunch

Ingredients:
6 slices bread, crust removed
1 lb. pork sausage
1 tsp prepared mustard
4 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. half and half
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
3/4 c. Swiss cheese
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp Worcestershire
Salt & pepper

Directions:
Line a buttered 9 x 13 x 2 baking dish with bread. Crumble sausage in medium skillet; cook till browned, stirring occasionally. Drain well. Add mustard, stirring well. Spread sausage/mustard mix over bread; sprinkle with cheeses. Combine remaining ingredients; beat well and pour over sausage and cheese. Refrigerate overnight. Next day, allow to come to room temperature; bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes or until set. Cut into squares and serve immediately.

8 servings.
