Pasta Puttanesca Recipe

  Italian Pasta

Ingredients:
1/2 cup olive oil
2 oz. anchovey fillets
6 gloves garlic, crushed
1 35 oz. can plum or italian tomatoes, drained
2 1/2 ounces capers, drained
1 1/4 cups black olives, chopped coarsely
Black pepper

Directions:
Put oil, anchovies, and garlic in a heavy saucepan and mash into a paste. Add tomatoes, capers, and olives. Stir while heating on medium heat to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about an hour, stirring intermittently. Add pepper to taste.
Serves 4 small portions.
