Chilli Chicken Recipe

  Indian & Pakistani Appetizer

Ingredients:
Boneless Chicken breast........1 lb
Eggs..........1
*Garlic and ginger paste........1 tsp
chilli powder...........1 tsp
Orange food color ..........pinch
Flour.............1 tblsp
Corn flour.................2 tsps
salt.....to tatse
green chillies..........2
Curry leaves...................5(optional)
Rice venegar........2 tsps
ketchup....1 tblsp
soya sauce......1 tblsp
chilli paste.........1 tsp (saambal paste)
*Grind equal amounts of fresh garlic and ginger to a paste.

Directions:
Cut chicken breast into cubes.Combine venegar,soya sauce,ketchup and chilli paste in a bowl and set aside. Combine chili powder,flour,egg,corn flour,food color,garlic and ginger paste and chicken pieces and marinate for an hour.Deep fry or shallow fry marinated chicken until well done and set aside.In a wok add a tablespoon of oil and fry curry leaves and slit green chilles.Add fried chicken and saute while adding the sauce mixture.Toss to coat the chicken pieces and remove to a serving platter.ENJOY!!!
Chilli chicken is a Indian recipe with a chinese twist.Goes well as an appetizer but can be served as a side dish also.
