Boston Brown Bread Recipe

  American Bread

Ingredients:
2 cups sifted wheat flour
1 cup corn meal
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup molasses
2 cups buttermilk

Directions:
Mix. Grease 3 cans. Fill. Cover with tin foil. Steam 3 hours-water in pan. Uncover and dry in 450 degree oven for 5 minutes. Cut with a string.
