Chef Carol Shipman's Strawberries Romanoff Recipe | |

Ingredients:
1+1/2 pints (3 cups, 750 ml) ripe strawberries3 Tbs (45 ml) sugar 2 Tbs (30 ml) Curacao, Cointreau, or other orange flavored liqueur Juice and grated peel of one orange 1 cup (250 ml) whipping cream 4 Tbs (60 ml) sugar, or to taste
Directions:
Rinse and hull the strawberries. Combine in bowl with 3 tablespoons (45 ml) sugar, Curacao, orange juice and grated peel. Pour over strawberries and chill for several hours. Beat the cream and 4 tablespoons (60 ml) sugar until soft peaks are formed. Alternate layers of strawberries and sweetened whipped cream in tall glasses for showy results. Serves 6 to 8. |
