Pork Tenderloin Recipe

  American Pork

Ingredients:
2 nice port tenderloins, trimmed of fat
1/2 cup low sodium Tamari sauce or soy sauce
4 cloves of fresh garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 tablespoon sesame oil (I sometimes use 1/2 regular sesame oil and 1/2 hot sesame oil)

1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup sesame seeds (I prefer to use the ones found in the asian section of the store. They are much less expensive and I use the toasted or parched ones)

Directions:
Combine Tamari sauce, garlic, ginger and sesame oil in a heavy plastic zip top bag. Add the pork tenderloins and marinate overnight. I prefer 48 hours.
Remove the tenderloins from the marinade and pat dry. Combine the honey and brown sugar in a shallow plate. Place the sesame seed; spread out on a flat surface. Roll the tenderloin in the honey/brown sugar mixture; coating well, and then roll in sesame seeds. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 160 degrees. Remove to serving platter and slice thinly to serve
8 servings
Makes good sandwiches when leftover too.
