Ingredients:
3/4 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup light molasses 1 beaten egg 2 cups sifted enriched flour 2 teaspoons soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cloves 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon ginger
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar; add molasses and egg; beat well. Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture; mix well. Roll in small balls; dip into sugar; place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) 15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies. Posted by JudyAZ |
