Chili con Queso Recipe

  Mexican Appetizer

Ingredients:
3 strips bacon
1 small onion, diced
1 10-ounce can Ortego mixed tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
1 8-ounce package sharp cheddar cheese
Tortilla chips

Directions:
Fry the bacon until crisp; crumble and set aside. Saute the onion briefly in the bacon fat, just enough to wilt the onion. Combine with the tomatoes and chilies. Heat and cook down a little.Crumble up and melt the cheese. Add the bacon bits and serve with the chips. this dip is good hot or cold.
Serves 4
