german lettuce dish Recipe

  German Vegetable

Ingredients:
8 slices of bacon
1 onion or 4 scallions, sliced and chopped
1/4 C. cider vinegar
1 Tbs. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 head of lettuce shredded or chopped
2 hard cooked eggs, sliced

Directions:
Saute bacon until crisp in large pot.
Remove. Crumble. Reserve. Brown onion in
bacon drippings.Add vinegar, sugar, salt,
and pepper. Bring to boil. Add lettuce to
pot and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Add bacon
and egg slices and toss.
