Peanut Butter Cake Recipe

1/2 cup margarine
1 1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk

Frosting:

1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
4 tablespoons cream

Directions:
Method
In a large bowl, cream margarine and sugar.
Add egg and beat well. Add peanut butter.
Combine dry ingredients on waxed paper.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to the creamed mixture. Pour into two greased and floured layer cake pans. Bake at 350F until done, 30 to 35 minutes. Cool on racks, then frost.

Frosting:

Combine butter, peanut butter and vanilla.
Add confectioners sugar and cream alternately. Beat until light and fluffy.
Spread on cake and sprinkle with chocolate cake decorations.
