Ingredients:
1 cup white sugar1/2 cup butter, softened 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 (16 ounce) can chocolate syrup 4 eggs 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar 1/2 cup butter, melted 3 tablespoons creme de menthe liqueur 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 6 tablespoons butter
Directions:
Makes 2 dozen (12 servings). Directions 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (170 degrees C). 2. Cream together 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup butter or margarine. Stir in 1 cup flour and mix well. Pour in chocolate syrup. 3. Beat eggs and add to mixture. Stir in salt and vanilla. 4. Pour batter into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Let cool. 5. To make topping: Melt 1/2 cup butter and mix with 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar and creme de menthe. Let cool slightly and spread over brownies 6. Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips and 6 tablespoons of butter and pour over the top of the mint topping. Let brownies and toppings cool completely and cut into 2 inch squares. |
