Black Forest Dump Cake Recipe | |

Ingredients:
1 20 ounce can crushed pineapple1 21 ounce can cherry pie filling 1 package Devil's Food cake mix* 1 cup chopped pecans* 1/2 cup butter (melted)
Directions:
Drain pineapple and save juiceSpread the pineapple in a lightly greased 9X13 inch cake pan Spoon pie filling gently over pineapple Sprinkle with the dry cake mix and pecans Combine melted butter with the reserved pineapple juice in a bowl and mix well. Drizzle over cake. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until brown. Cut into squares. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Serves 15. NOTE: This is a very flexible cake. White and yellow cake mixes work beautifully. Walnuts can be substituted for the pecans. Other fruit can be used as well. |
