Ingredients:
6 eggs1 1/2 C sugar 2 sticks (1/2 lb) butter, melted 6 T vanilla (or 4 T anise) extract 4 t baking powder 3 1/2 C all-purpose flour
Directions:
Beat the eggs, and slowly add the sugar beating until smooth. Add the flavoring (vanilla or anise) and the melted butter. Sift the flour and baking powder together. Slowly beat into the egg mixture. For more flavor, you can add the zest of 1/2 lemon or orange. Anise seeds (preferably pulverized) to taste can also be added to the vanilla cookies. Makes 50. |
