Ingredients:
1/4 cup sugar1/4 cup cider vinegar or white vinegar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon celery seed 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard Pinch pepper 1/4 cup oil 1/4 head red cabbage(about 3 cups thinly sliced) 1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
Directions:
!n a small saucepan combine sugar, vinegar, salt, celery seed, dry mustard and pepper. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is boiling. Set off heat; whisk in oil; set aside. Prepare cabbage. Remove limp outer leaves. You can use a processor or grater to shred, or slice thinly and cut across slices.Place in large bowl. Add onion to cabbage. Pour on dressing; toss to mix well. cover. Refrigerate 24 hours. Serves 2-4. |
