Grandma Pauline Potato Latkes Recipe

  Jewish Appetizer

Ingredients:
4 large potatoes
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp matzo meal
1 med-large (to taste)
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Peel and shred potatoes and onion. (By hand or food processor)

Mix together in food processor with mixing blade or in a blender all ingredients.

Drop by 1/4 cup into hot frying oil until golden brown.

Makes about 18 each.


Variations... Change the recipe to your taste. Here are some variations I like. 1. Just add some garlic. 2. Use red potatoes and scallions instead of the usual baking and onion. 3. Have FUN!
