COCA COLA CAKE Recipe

Ingredients:
1 CUP FLOUR
1 CUP SUGAR
1/2 tsp. BAKING POWDER
1 STICK BUTTER
2 TBS. COCOA POWDER - UNSWEETENED
1/2 CUP COCA COLA
1/4 CUP BUTTERMILK
1 EGG, BEATEN
1 tsp. VANILLA
FROSTING-RECIPE:
1/2 STICK BUTTER
1 1/2 TBS. COCOA POWDER-UNSWEETENED
2 1/4 CUP POWDERED SUGAR - SIFT TO REMOVE LUMPS
1 tsp. VANILLA
1/2 CUP BROKEN PECANS

Directions:
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350. GREASE & FLOUR AN 8x8 CAKE PAN.
MIX THE SUGAR, FLOUR, & BAKING POWDER IN A BOWL. BRING THE BUTTER, COCOA, & COCA-COLA TO A BOIL IN MED. SAUCEPAN, STIRRING TO BLEND WELL. POUR OVER DRY INGREDIANTS GRADUALLY, MIXING WELL. COMBINE BUTTERMILK, EGG & VANILLA IN SMALL BOWL, MIX WELL. ADD TO THE BATTER; MIX WELL. POUR INTO PREPARED PAN.
BAKE FOR 25-30 MINUTES, OR UNTIL CAKE TESTER COMES OUT CLEAN. TURN CAKE ONTO PLATTER. POUR HOT FROSTING OVER WARM CAKE AND TOP WITH PECANS.
FROSTING:
BRING THE BUTTER, COCOA & COCA-COLA TO BOIL IN MED. SAUCEPAN, STIRRING TO BLEND WELL. REMOVE FROM HEAT. STIR IN THE POWDERED SUGAR AND VANILLA. POUR OVER CAKE.
I HAVE MADE THIS CAKE MANY TIMES AND IT ALWAYS GONE IN A DAY!!!
