Ingredients:
Crust: 3/4 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Filling: 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup sugar 2 eggs 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract Topping: 3 cups thinly sliced, peeled, tart apples 1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
Combine ingredients for crust and press onto the bottom of an ungreased 9-inch springform pan. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar; add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Pour over the crust. Combine topping ingredients and spoon over filling. Place pan on a foil-lined baking sheet to prevent drips. Bake at 350*F (175*C) for 55 to 60 minutes or until the center is set and apples are tender. Cool completely on a wire rack before releasing sides of pan. Store in the refrigerator. Makes 12 servings. |
