Puffy Fried Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup water
2 tsp. shortening, melted
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 1/2 lbs. medium or large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
Hot vegetable oil

Directions:
Fold flour, water, shortening, salt, and pepper into egg whites. Dip shrimp in mixture and fry in deep hot oil until golden.

3-4 servings
