Baked Cannellini Beans Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
2 20-oz. cans cannellini beans, drained
1 16-oz. can stewed tomatoes
4 oz. salami, pepperoni, or mortadella, chopped
1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
dash pepper
1 cup shredded provolone cheese (4 oz.)

Directions:
In skillet cook onion and garlic in cooking oil till onion is tender. Stir in cannellini beans, tomatoes, salami, basil, oregano, and pepper.

Turn mixture into a 2-quart casserole. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degrees oven for 50 minutes. Sprinkle with provolone cheese; bake about 5 minutes longer or till cheese is melted. Serve in sauce dishes. Makes 8 servings.
