Dulce de Leche Recipe

  Mexican Dessert

Ingredients:
1 can sweetened condensed Milk

Directions:
Take paper wrapper off of can, but DO NOT open. Place can upright in saucepan filled with enough water to cover can. Simmer on low heat for one hour (you will need to add water as it boils away) . Let cool and refrigerate. Serve on toast, as frosting, with apple slices, and anything else you like. It has a unique taste, almost like caramel sauce. p.s. I've never heard of Tres Leches and I lived in Latin America for 16 years. This is the closest thing I've tried. Does this sound like what you were looking for? If not, I'd be interested in knowing what country you ate it in and what it tastes like.
