Zesty Scallloped Potatoes Recipe | |

Ingredients:
4 medium-sized potatoes, pared and thinly sliced(about 1 1/2 lbs or 680 grams) 1 1/2 tsps(7.5ml)salt 1/4 tsp.(1.2ml) white pepper 1/8 tsp. (.6ml)garlic powder 1 tbsp.(15ml)onion, minced 2 tbsps.(30ml) all-purpose flour 1 tbsp (15ml) butter 1 1/2 to 2 cups milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F(177 C).2. Rinse the potatoes in cold water and then drain them thoroughly. 3. Place 1/3 of the potatoes in a greased 1 1/2 quart(1.5-liter) casserole dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 of each of the following ingredients: salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion and flour. Dot this layer with 1/2 tbsp(7.5ml) butter. 4. Repeat layers, ending with potatoes. 5. Pour milk over casserole contents to barely cover. 6. cover and bake for 1 hour. 7. Uncover and return to oven for 30 minutes. |
