Baked Clams Recipe

  American Appetizer

Ingredients:
2 dozen clams
8 Tbsp olive oil
10 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
1 Tbsp. oregano olive oil
lemon wedge, and salt and pepper for taste

Directions:
Place clams in freezer for 20 minutes to stun them. Save the juice and loosen each clam, leaving it in its bottom shell. In saucepan, heat the minced garlic in olive oil gently until golden brown. Spoon a very little on each clam and mix the remaining with bread crumbs, sprinkle to cover the clam in their shells. Sprinkle with oregano and a few drops of olive oil. Put them in a baking dish and then in a preheated 375 oven for 25 minutes. Serve with lemon wedges and hot Italian bread
