Barbecue brisket Recipe | |

Ingredients:
6 pound beef brisket1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Sauce 2 tb Unsalted butter 1 ea Onion, finely chopped 2 ea Garlic cloves, minced 1 ea Bay leaf, crumbled 2 c Ketchup 3/4 c Coca-Cola 1 tb A-1 Sauce 1 t Dijon mustard 2 ts Wine vinegar Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Trim excess fat from brisket and place fat side up in a roasting pan. Sprinkle with salta and pepper. Place onion slices over meat. Bake uncovered at 350* for 1-1/2 hours. Make sauce. Pour over brisket. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 2 hours more or until tender, spooning sauce over brisket occasionally.Sauce: Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add onions and cook 1 minute. Add garlic and cook 4 minutes longer. Do not brown. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 1 hour. |
