Cajun Jellies and Jams | |
Ingredients:
2 pounds ripe figs1 cup crushed pineapple 2 medium lemons, cut in small pcs. 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup chopped pecans sugar
Directions:
Wash figs and cut in pcs. Mix with pineapple and lemons and put into a boiler witha an equal amt of sugar and the 1/2 tsp. salt. Bring slowly to boiling point and simmer gently until thickened, but still a little runny. Stir in nuts; put in hot jars. Actually it is a French recipe. Enjoy. |
