Tempura Batter Recipe

  Japanese Seafood

Ingredients:
1/4 cup corn starch
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Ice water
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 large egg, lightly beaten

Directions:
Combine all ingredients and stir until smooth. Heat peanut oil in a wok or deep fryer to 375. Dip shrimp or chicken in batter and fry until golden brown. Drain on brown paper bags (absorbs more grease than a paper towel.)
