Ingredients:
1 tbsp. flour3/4 tsp. salt Dash of pepper 1 to 2 lbs. stew meat 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato soup 1 can water (1 1/4 c.) Onion, chopped (to taste) 1/4 tsp. dried basil, crushed 4 med. potatoes, pared & cubed 3 med. carrots, cut in 1 inch pieces 2 bay leaves 1/4 c. dry red wine or water
Directions:
Meat can be browned or just added raw. Mix soup, water, basil, salt, pepper and onion. Add meat, potatoes, and carrots and bay leaves. Bake at 375 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or put in crockpot on high for about 6 to 8 hours. Remove bay leaves and serve over rice. Makes about 4 to 5 servings. |
