Hot Sweet and Sour Dressing Recipe

  Chinese Sauces

Ingredients:
1 to 1-1/2 cups vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1 pound bacon and drippings
1 teaspoon salt
pepper
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
1/3 cup flour

Directions:
Whip egg and milk. Add vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar and whip it. Pour mixture over bacon and drippings in a sauce pan. Slowly heat to simmer. Thicken with flour. Add milk if too thick. Pour over dandelion greens, endive, spinach etc. Can be frozen and reheated very slowly, stirring frequently.
