Taco Sala Recipe

  Salad

Ingredients:
1 pound hamburger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 onion finely chopped
1/2 to 1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Taco Chips
Shredded lettuce
Shreded mild cheddar cheese
Chopped tomato
Chopped green onion
Sour Cream (optional)
Guacamole (optional)
Pickled Jalepeno peppers (Optional)
Black beans OR refried beans

Directions:
Brown hamburger and onion. Drain off fat. Add salt, chili powder, cumin powder, and paprika. Add the black beans (drain well first). (Use more spices for spicier mix, and less for less spicy mix.) Put taco chips in cassarole. Layer on the meat/bean mixture. Next layer on the lettuce, tomato, green onions, and if you wish, add sour cream, guacamole, and slices of pickled jalepeno peppers. If you do not wish to use sour cream/guacamole mixture, Ranch dressing or creamy Italian dressing are both good over the salad. If desired, a deep fried flour tortilla, shaped into a bowl with a utensil can be substituted for the taco chips.
