Tilapia Poki Recipe

  Hawaiian Seafood

Ingredients:
400 g. tilapia, parboiled and diced
seaweed mix (alternatively use wakame, mekabu...)
Seasoning 1: sesame seed oil
2: hot-pepper sauce
3. soy-sauce/fish sauce
4: garlic and/or onion, finely chopped
(Optinal --- MSG)

Directions:
1: Tilapia, depending on how fresh it is, must be either parboiled or thoroughly boild, and be cut into cubes, about as big as 1/2 matchbox. 2. Mix well all other ingredients: seaweed mix, onion/garlic, soy/fish-sauce, sesame-seed oil, hot-pepper sauce, & MSG (if you want to). Qty. is not definite, you just add what you like as much as you want to (I am very serious).---That's All!
I have no data with respect to calories, vitamines, etc., yet since tilapia, a fresh-water fish that does not contain much fat yet which is a good source of quality protein, this traditinal hawaiian "half-sashimi" must be nutritious. Furthermore, seaweed provides fiber/mineral/vitamins, garlic/onion gives you "energy", and no other source of fat is as tasty and healthy as sesame-seed oil. Believe me & try it!
I learned how to make this dish when I was studying at U.H., in 1990. Easy, tasty, & healthy!
