Ingredients:
1 lb raw rice1/2 lb ground beef 1/4 lb ground pork 1 small finely chopped onion 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper
Directions:
To get the cabbage leaves to come off the head, you can either boil, steam or even easier, put it in the freezer overnight and thaw before rolling up filling.mix all ingredients together and place a heaping tablespoonful into a cabbage leaf, folding like a diaper around the filling. arrange in a large pan lined with the broken up cabbage leaves or saurkraut. bring 2 quarts water, 1//4 cup course salt & 1 cup cider vinegar to a boil and add to the pan. bake covered at 350% for a couple hours till the rice & meat is done you can also serve this with a tomato sauce instead it's a holiday tradition at our house
