Basic Alfredo sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
1 oz. butter
1 oz. flour
1 pint heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 clove minced garlic
white pepper to taste

Directions:
Mix butter & flour over medium-low heat a minute or two - don't brown
In a separate pan bring cream just to a boil & add the butter/flour mixture to thicken.
Add pepper to taste & garlic, simmer over low heat a few minutes stirring constantly. This gets rid of the flour taste.
Add the parmesan cheese & stir gently till melted.
Be careful not to stir in any burned stuff off the bottom of the pan.
Good basic recipe you can serve over linguini with chicken or shrimp
