Coffee Cake (Bakery style) Recipe

  American Cakes

Crumb Topping
3 sticks marg. or butter
2 1/4 Cups Sugar
3 Cups Flour
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
MIX Well, Put in refrigerator overnight or freezer for 1 1/2 hrs.


1 stick margarine
8 oz cream cheese
1 1/4 Cup sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 Cups Flour
1 tsp B. powder
1/2 tsp B. soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 Cup Milk (added Last)

Grease and flour 9 x 13 or larger pan. Preheat oven to 350
cream Marg. cream cheese and sugar til blended. add eggs and vanilla. Mix together flour, b powder, b soda and salt Add slowly to creamed mixture. LAST add milk. Mixture will be very thick. Spread into prepared pan. Arrange crumbs on top ( It will be a very thick topping) Bake 40 - 50 min. depending on size of pan. This makes a VERY LARGE cake, just like from a bakery it is well worth the effort DELICIOUS!!!!!
This makes a very LARGE cake, tastes just like a bakery crumb cake it is EXCELLENT!!! Well worth the effort. MAKE SURE TO Freeze crumb topping
