Apple pie Recipe

Ingredients:
APPLE PIE

pastry for double crust pie
1 1/2 pounds apples
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter

Divide dough in half. Roll out and place in the bottom of a
9" pie plate. Peel, core and slice apples. Place on top of crust.
Mix together sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle over
apples. Dot with butter. Add top crust. Trim edges and seal with
tines of fork. Brush top of crust with milk. Bake at 350 degrees
for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

NOTE: If using freshly picked apples, reduce sugar to 3/4 cup.

Directions:
Pastry

2 c flour
2/3 c shortening
1 tsp. salt
7 tbls. cold water
Place flour in a bowl. Cut in shortening until pea size balls form. Add water and salt. Mix together until forms a ball.
Enough for a 2 crust pie.
