7-UP Pound Cake Recipe | |

Ingredients:
2 sticks butter5 large eggs 3 cups flour 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 cup shortening 3 cups sugar 1 10-oz 7-UP reserving 1/4 cup for glaze Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup pecans (optional) 1/4 cup 7-UP
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition. Alternate adding the flour and liquid. Stir in vanilla. Bake in a greased and floured tube or bundt pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done. Cool about 15 minutes before removing. Glaze after cake is cool. |
