Sweet rice is another "name" for sticky rice (or short grain rice). This sticky rice is just what the name indicates--sticky!! So when you try to steam it, don't be upset when it comes out a sticky glop. You can use it for sushi for one thing; and in any recipe that calls for short grain rice.
