Eggs Lorraine Recipe

Ingredients:
1 (1 pound) package bulk sausage, your choice mild or spicy
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
12 eggs, lightly beaten
2/3 cup light cream
2 tablespoons butter

Directions:
Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Brown sausage, breaking it up as it browns. Drain well. Sprinkle half of cheese on top of butter in pan. Pour egg over cheese, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour cream over eggs. You may add a can of drained sliced mushrooms if you wish. Top with browned sausage and remaining cheese. (This may be made ahead and refrigerated.) When ready to serve, bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before serving. 8 - 10 servings.
