Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups corn meal mix1 egg 1 tablespoon sugar, if desired buttermilk-enough to make batter little black pepper
Directions:
I like to spray my 8" iron skillet with pam then put in 1 tablespoon oil-put that into 450 oven while mixing up batter. Mix all ingredients, put into hot skillet and bake about 20 minutes. I feel the key to this recipe is the buttermilk and the iron skillet. Sometimes we eat this with milk for supper on a cold night after a hard days work, especially right now since my husband is a CPA and I help him. He thinks it's great! |
