Caramels Recipe

  Confections

Ingredients:
1 cup margarine
1 pound brown sugar
dash salt
2 Tablespoons flour
1 cup corn syrup, like Karo (light)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Melt margarine, add brown sugar and salt, then add the sweetened condensed milk, flour, vanilla, and corn syrup. Heat to 245 degrees, stirring constantly. Pour into buttered, 9x13 inch pan. Cool several hours. Cut in squares and wrap in plastic wrap.
These stay chewy, and are very good.
