Chinese Fondue Recipe

  Canadian Beef

Ingredients:
2 cans of beef consomme
1 envelope of onion soup
2 garlic cloves smashed
2 cups red wine
2 cups water
1 pinch parsley
2 Bay leaves

1/2 lb eye of the round beef per person

Directions:
Mix everything except the beef in a big pot.. Boil for 15 minutes. Let stand from 1 hour to 24 hours.It keeps a long time.It freezes very well.

Freeze the beef. Take out of the freezer. Thaw until you can slice very thin slices. They have to be paper thin.If you have a slicer it's perfect. Otherwise do by hand with a very sharp knife. Cut against the grain, like you would do smoke salmon. Serve with sauces like Bearnaise, Pepper, Curry,the same as Fondue Bourguignonne.

This is a very easy way to entertain from 6 to 12 people. You will need 1 Fondue Pot for every 4 people. This recipe is good for 2 pots.
