Velvety Custard Pie Recipe

Ingredients:
4 lightly beaten eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups scalded milk
1, 9" unbaked pastry shell
nutmeg

Directions:
Thoroughly mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla. Slowly stir in scalded milk. Pour at once into pastry shell. Dash top with nutmeg. Bake 5 minutes in 475 degree F. oven; reduce to 425 F. and bake 10 minutes longer. (Clara Scruggs)
