Kartoffelsalat (German Potato Salad) Recipe

  German Salad

Ingredients:
4 potatoes, cooked and sliced thin
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 C onion, sliced
1 T flour
1 T sugar
1/4 tsp celery seed
1/4 C water
1 1/2 T vinegar
Dash of salt and pepper

Directions:
Saute the onion in 2 T of bacon grease. Combine the flour, sugar, s/p and celery seed, add to the onions. Cook until bubbly and thoroughly mixed. Combine the water and vinegar, stir into the onion mixture.

Gently stir bacon and potatoes into the hot mixture. Serve hot
Serves 4 - 6
