Close-To-Swiss Chalet Barbecue Sauce Recipe

  Canadian Chicken

Ingredients:
3 c. water
1/4 c. tomato juice
1 chicken boullion cube
1 1/2tsp paprika
1 tsp sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp each: dried basil, parsley, poultry seasoning, thyme, ground ginger, dry mustard, and onion powder
1 bay leaf
3/4 tsp worcestershire sauce
6 drops Tobasco sauce
2 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions:
Pour water and tomato juice into a 1 1/2 quart saucepan. Add all ingredients to Tobasco. Stir or whisk to thoroughly mix. Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer 5 minutes, Remove Bay leaf.
Add lemon juice. Mix cornstarch and water, add to pot, stir well, bring to a boil, stir till thickened, whisk in vegetable oil.
Boil 1 -2 minutes
