Mom's Macaroni Recipe

  American Salad

Ingredients:
Elbow macaroni
diced green pepper
diced tomatoes
mayonnaise
salt to taste
paprika for garnish
salad shrimp (optional)

Directions:
Cook the macaroni. Add green pepper and tomatoes (the amount depends on how much macaroni you have). Add enough mayo to mix it all together (I usually start out with a cup and then add more as needed). Salt to taste. Sprinkle paprika on the top to make it look pretty. Chill for a couple hours. Mom sometimes adds canned salad shrimp with the tomatoes and peppers, but I don't like them.
People rave about Mom's macaroni salad and always ask her to bring it to picnics, etc.
