MUFFALETTA OLIVE SALAD SANDWICH Recipe | |

Ingredients:
3 cloves garlic1 c. chopped green stuffed olives 1 c. chopped black olives 1/2 c. roasted red peppers, chunks 1 c. olive oil 3 tbsp. fresh parsley 2 tbsp. white wine vinegar 1 lg. round loaf bread 1/3 lb. thin salami 1/2 lb. Provolone, thin 1/2 lb. Havarti cheese 1/3 c. Prosciotto or ham
Directions:
Mix and let stand overnight from garlic to vinegar. Cut bread in half. Remove top and scoop out some of the center of loaf and drizzle oil from salad on both top and bottom halves, use plenty on bottom half. Layer salami, olive salad, Provolone, Havarti ham. Top with bread top. Slice into 6 wedges.A Muffalatta is more like a huge "Dagwood" Sandwich than a pita.
