Enchilada Sauce Recipe

  Mexican Sauces

Ingredients:
1 large onion
2 tbls. olive oil
1/4 cup flour
1 tbls.garlic powder
2 tbls. good chili powder
1 tsp.each, cumin,marjoram,oregano
1 tbls. Knorr chicken bouillon or other
1 quart water

Directions:
chop onion, saute with oil until transparent, add flour until coated. Add water and all ingredients, STIR or WHISK until thickened, simmer for 1/2 hour.(Add more chilipowderif you like more kick)


I looked for a good Enchilada sauce for ages cause I wanted more of a gravy consistancy. This is pretty authenic!
