Hush Puppies with Corn Recipe | |

Ingredients:
1 c. flour1 c. cornmeal 2 tsp. baking powser 3/4 tsp salt 3/4 c. cream-style corn 1/2 c. finely chopped onion 1 egg, beaten 2 tbsp vegetable oil vegetable oil
Directions:
Combine first 4 ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add corn, onino, egg and 2 tbsp. oil; stir well.Carefully drop batter by level tablespoonfuls into deep hot oil (370); cook only a few at a time, turning once. Fry 3 to 5 minutes until hush puppies are golden brown. Drain well on paper towels. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen. | |
