Bran Muffins Recipe

Ingredients:
6 cups digestive bran
2 cups boiling water
1 cup melted butter
3 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten
4 cups buttermilk
2 tablespoons baking soda
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 cups bran rich flour
2 teaspoons salt
raisins to taste

Directions:
Heat oven to 220 degrees Celcius. Mix bran and water. Add butter, leave to cool slightly. Add sugar, eggs and 3 cups of buttermilk. Mix well. Mix baking soda and remaining buttermilk. Add to bran mix, mix well. Mix flour and salt. Add raisins, mix. The mixture well be quite runny. Add to bran mix, mix well. Bake for 20 minutes.
I hope that i translated all the ingrdents correctly, as I am sending this recipe from South Africa. Bran muffins are very popular here and are served in most coffee shops.
