cream of potato soup Recipe

  American Soup

Ingredients:
8 med red potatos
1 large onion
3 large stalks celery
salt and peper
1 can evaporated milk
2 cups instant potato flakes
2 tbls. margarine
2 tbls. instant chicken stock
water
1/2 slice of ham steak (optional) but
better with

Directions:
peel and clean vegies,cut potatos into 1/2 in. chunks,chop fairly small the onion and celery. In large pot with lid, barely cover the vegies with water,add chicken stock and chopped ham. Boil until vegies are tender. Keep water,add evaporated milk,and flakes,(more or less of these to desired thickness)whole milk can be used also to thin and make more saucey. Continue cooking to simmer add margarine and 10-15 mins. More salt and pepper to personal taste.
Nothing like homemade potato soup on a cold rainy day!!!
