My Mom probably got this recipe from her local newspaper back in the late 60's or so. It was REAL impressive the first time she did it.
This is a favorite for an attention getter after a fancy meal. And, besides that, it tastes great. you just can't go wrong with chocolate pudding, Oreo cookies, and whipped topping.

Since this recipe is from the mid-30's, I'm sure that the rice used was long grain. Rinsing the rice before cooking it keeps the pudding from becoming too sticky. |
