Danish Recipes

This recipe was contributed to the book: Five Star Recipes from Well-known Latter-Day Saints by Michael Ballam, founder and director of the Utah Festival Opera Company. He has performed through America, Asia, and Europe sharing the stage with the world's greatest singers, including Joan Sutherland, Kiri Te Kanawa, Birgit Nilsson, and Placido Domingo.

"Aebleskiver - a Danish dessert, like doughnut holes, but sweeter and much better traditionally served with glogg during the Advent. Cooked in a cast iron pan that resembles an egg poacher. Serve hot with syrup, jam or powdered sugar."

Serve hot as an accompaniment to a stuffed loin of pork to complete the traditional Danish Christmas dinner.

Can also be made with Claccic Danish Pastry(Viennabrod)

I like to serve these warm with applesauce.

Called Fiskefrikadeller (Fish Balls).
